As of 1st August 2023, MultiChoice South Africa has launched a revamped version of its streaming service, now called “DStv Stream”. The new DStv Stream comes with a variety of exciting features, aiming to provide viewers with a smoother and more enjoyable streaming experience.

Existing DStv subscribers can update their DStv app to get access to the new DStv Stream platform. For new users, the DStv Stream app can be downloaded from their preferred app store, and login can be done using self-service credentials. DStv Stream offers six different packages, catering to different needs and preferences. The packages and their respective costs per month are as follows:
- DStv Stream Premium: R699 (1 stream) / R799 (2 streams) – All-inclusive package.
- DStv Stream Compact Plus: R469 (1 stream) / R579 (2 streams) – Includes Showmax at a 50% discount and Latest Movies for only R79.
- DStv Stream Compact: R369 (1 stream) / R449 (2 streams) – Includes Showmax at a 50% discount and Latest Movies for only R79.
- DStv Stream Family: R269 (1 stream) / R319 (2 streams) – Includes Showmax at a 50% discount and Latest Movies for only R79.
- DStv Stream Access: R99 (1 stream) / R129 (2 streams) – Includes Showmax at a 50% discount and Latest Movies for only R79.
- DStv Stream EasyView: R29 – This package does not offer the option for a second stream but includes Latest Movies for only R79.
It’s important to note that DStv Stream Premium includes Showmax at no extra cost, whereas the other packages offer Showmax at a 50% discount.
